Paying respect on Remembrance Day
Residents and staff at Carinity aged care communities around Queensland paid their respects to fallen soldiers on Remembrance Day.
The well-attended ceremony at Carinity Fairfield Grange aged care featured resident Jim, whose father was in the army, reciting a moving poem, and fellow resident Jack displaying his father’s military medals.
Carinity Fairfield Grange also welcomed a special visitor, James Stewart, who gave an poignant address to guests.
James is a Warrant Officer with the Australian Army’s 3nd Combat Signal Regiment, based in Townsville.
Remembrance Day gatherings at Carinity Fairfield Grange and other Carinity aged care communities across Queensland also included special displays of military information and memorabilia.
